One-Piece vs Two-Piece

Water Efficiency
- Standard: 1.6 GPF (gallons per flush) — meets federal maximum. Reliable, widely available.
- High-efficiency (HET): 1.28 GPF — WaterSense certified. Saves ~20% water vs standard. The sweet spot for most homes.

Bowl Shapes
- Round — Compact, 16.5" from bolt holes to front. Best for small bathrooms and powder rooms where space is tight.

Flush Technology
- Gravity flush — Uses the weight of water dropping from the tank. Simple, reliable, quiet. Works well at 1.28+ GPF.
